Julie and Mike were looking to create a Scandinavian inspired garden building that would include Julie’s art studio, Mike’s workshop and a carport in the Devon countryside. As an artist, Julie developed the vision and concept of the design herself and with the help of Simon from Inside Out Buildings, they were able to bring the plans to life in this unique build.
Julie was looking for a minimalist scandinavian design with clean lines and details, such as colour matching windows. Simon was able to incorporate the different layers of the project to create a seamless link between the art studio and the workshop by using Linax cladding for the design and clean finish.

The versatility of Linax cladding and the corner details helped Simon and the team with the material selection process. “The ability to join Linax helped create a facade around cedar posts to support the carport. It goes to show the different designs that are possible for bespoke projects.”
