Bitus has a long-term collaboration with Burnblock ApS where we are the only producer of Bitus Fire retardant impregnated wood with Burnblock’s product in Sweden.
Bitus’ fire retardant impregnation of wood is a maintenance-free impregnation that protects the wood against the spread of fire. The wood is fireproof impregnated in our vacuum impregnation and then dried before delivery. Bitus Fire retardant impregnation of wood achieves the highest class ie B-s1, d0 for combustible materials according to EN 13501-1.

How does it work?
The flame retardant with the combustible gases suffocates the oxygen and chars the surface.
The result in a fire is that when the fire reaches the charred surface, the fire dies out and prevents spread. Without oxygen no fire!
