In the scenic area of Marielund, just west of Mariefred, we have developed Marielundshöjden – 239 modern, space-efficient rental apartments located right next to Läggesta Station, only 35 minutes from Stockholm Central.
Here, residents enjoy close proximity to nature, the historic Gripsholm Castle and the charming town centre of Mariefred, while benefiting from easy and convenient commuting.
The buildings are designed using natural stone and wood, where our Thermo – a heat-treated timber with a naturally warm, golden-brown tone and high dimensional stability – is used to create a welcoming and durable architectural character. Combined with our fire-protected wood, which meets the requirements for modern multi-storey buildings, the materials provide a cohesive aesthetic and a safe, reliable construction throughout the project.
This combination contributes to long service life, reduced maintenance requirements, and a visually unified expression – from façades to complementary structures.
Thermo and fire-protected wood have been used in both the residential buildings and the parking structure to create a cohesive and durable overall expression.

Thermo gives the project a warm and natural tone, while fire-protected wood creates a safe and secure overall environment throughout the area.

Together, the materials create a sustainable whole with a long service life, low maintenance requirements, and a clear aesthetic cohesion.
