Terms of Sale B2B
Terms of Sale B2B – Export
When Bitus’s goods are sold to customers outside Sweden (export sale), the terms and conditions according to Softwood Contract 2015 (hereinafter referred to as “SWC2015”), adopted by the Finnish Forest Industries Federation, the Swedish Forest Industries Federation and the Norwegian Sawmilling Industry, 2015, apply between Bitus and the Buyer.
Deviating from the terms in SWC2015, the following terms apply to the sale of goods from Bitus.
1. “Products” refers to all goods delivered by Bitus.
2. The following applies to the handling of the Products:
Products for outdoor use must be stored in an outdoor climate protected from precipitation and laid flat in a well-drained and protected place to avoid soil moisture, precipitation and standing water.
Softwood products must be placed in the shade, as the temperature in sunlit timber packages will be higher than the temperature outside, which can lead to condensation and mold. This increases the risk of microbial growth in the outer layers. Direct sunlight also causes rapid drying of the surface and increases the risk of cracking and crookedness.
Use several bearers to prevent the wood from bending. The tarpaulin must not lie directly on the timber package and it is important that it ends a bit above the ground as ventilation inside the timber package must be ensured to avoid condensation and mold.
