Bitus consists of a total of five facilities where wood protection, processed wood products, planed wood products and manufacturing of fencing and outdoor environments are produced. Our facilities are located in Sweden and Latvia.

We have three head offices in our main markets Sweden, the UK and Baltic region.

To continue the growth and development of our company and products, we have actively invested in all four production units. In Sweden we have invested in a new thermo chamber for the production of thermo treated wood.

For us, the environment and sustainability are obvious issues in everyday life. We continuously invest in solar cells and electric trucks and reviews our sustainability work.

Wood Protection and planing in Valmiera, Latvia

The main production activity of the site in Valmiera is further processing of sawn softwoods by kiln drying, planning into structural dimensions or profiles like decking, cladding, flooring etc, strength grading, pressure treatment, painting and distribution across Europe. Valmiera site operates 5 planing lines, 24 drying chambers, 3 grading and re-sawing lines. Four vacuum pressure treatment tanks enable us to offer different types of treatment where green Wolmanit CX and brown Tanalith E and VACSOL Aqua Blue treatments are among the most popular ones.

Production of fencing, outdoor furniture, in Cesis, Latvia

The Cesis production facility specializes in the production of various pressure-treated softwood garden products. These include assembled fence panels and gates, posts, various fence panel components, outdoor furniture, cladding, terrace components, wooden pool timber structures, and glue-laminated step strings. Approximately 95% of its production is exported to France, Great Britain, Norway, Iceland, Belgium, Ireland, and the Netherlands.

Wood Protection in Nybro, Sweden

The main production in Nybro, is the wood protection treatments in a modern facility that is one of Europe’s largest.

Flexibility and large storage possibilities allow us to produce several different types of wood protection. Bitus site operates 3 Linax chambers, 1 thermo chamber, 1 fire retardant chamber and a total capacity of traditional high pressure 30-40 000 m3/year and BS 8417 140-150000 m3/year.

Planing in Fagelfors, Sweden

At the facility in Fågelfors there is a planing site and a pellets factory. The planer mainly produces products such as decking, cladding and joists for our wood protection facility in Nybro.
