Roof boards have traditionally been used for roofs on many types of buildings, especially on the island in Gotland, Sweden. The boards are usually laid as a cover panel in two layers, with a bottom and top board. The boards have milled grooves that drain away the rainwater. Can be obtained either heat-treated or Linax-treated. The Linax panel is pressure impregnated and treated with linseed oil, and provides permanent protection.
