After the fire, Orranäs Glassworks was rebuilt with great care for both the site’s history and its future. Linax was chosen for the staircase and timber battens, offering a natural expression that harmonises with the unique setting of the Kingdom of Crystal and the surrounding landscape.
The new glassworks carries forward the rich craft heritage of Orrefors while also representing modern, sustainable construction. Linax gives the timber a warm and vibrant character while providing long-lasting protection with 50 years of documented protection against rot.
The result is a building where tradition, craftsmanship and sustainable materials come together in the heart of the Kingdom of Crystal.
